Trip to the capital
Greetings beautiful people, I'm so glad that you liked my
first blog post and the response has been overwhelming. If you have not read my
previous post already you should definitely go and have a read.
If you people follow me on Instagram(@themistletoeguy) you must be knowing
that I visited the capital of the country and a few more places. As the sun is
already blazing guns, simple way of clothing is the way to go. So, I decided to
go with the basics for the entire trip and it was worth it. As I was staying in
a society for the entire trip as my father works in Delhi(though he has shifted
back to Kolkata now) it was quite easy for me to travel the city without being
too tired. Also, the food of Chandni Chowk is something to die for, it’s the best
you can get.
I paid a visit to the Humayun's tomb and this place was so
aesthetic and history was oozing out of it. For some backstory, it is a
mausoleum initiated by the first wife Of Humayun – Bega Begam in 1565 AD and it
said that Shah Jahan got the inspiration for the Taj Mahal from this very
monument. For my first outfit, I paired a blue shirt having white and black
stripes with black jeans and white sneakers. I opted for the basic accessories,
a metallic watch and black shades. As simple as that.
I also visited a place called the Lodhi Art street and this
place has my heart. Every corner of this street had some amazing graffiti artwork
and it was so beautiful to see. Every graffiti is unique and have meaning of
their own. This place was so beautiful that I could not resist myself from
getting a few pictures there. For this look, I paired a simple black t-shirt
with blue jeans and white sneakers with the same accessories from the previous
look.
Agra is a must visit place as it is very close to Delhi approximately
230kms and you know the Taj Mahal awaits. You can feel the true essence of love
when you are there. I always fall in love with her beauty and can look towards
the Taj Mahal for hours. A brief backstory of the monument. It is a mausoleum completely
made of white marble, built between 1631-1648 by order of the Mughal emperor
Shah Jahan in memory of his favorite wife and it is included among the seven
wonders of the world. Little details about my outfit. I paired a blue checked
shirt with blue denims and white sneakers. A metallic watch as my only accessory.
Also not to forget to roll up the sleeves to take your look a notch higher. It’s
the small details that make a huge difference. I visited the Agra fort and one
thing about it was that when I saw the room where Shah Jahan was locked up by
his own son and he used to look at the Taj Mahal which was clearly visible from
his room, this really made me very emotional.
That’s it for the blog, keeping it short and simple. See you in the next blog post which comes out soon. Until then, keep spreading love. Cheers!
